Basic Function

HF Sinclair is seeking a Accountant in Albuquerque, NM who will be responsible to conduct and monitor  basic to moderately complex accounting/treasury assignments as assigned with direct supervision.

Job Duties

  • Prepares various accounting statements and reports and distributes as necessary
  • Reviews, updates, and maintains files and/or data on a periodic basis
  • Communicates information related to assigned department projects or any other requests to various departments
  • Assists in gathering, analysis, and/or interpretation of data for various assigned projects
  • Incorporates new information into current processes as needed and assigned
  • Performs various assigned analyses
  • Supports various assigned accounting activities
  • Assists in preparation of presentations, meeting information, as assigned
  • Processes various assigned reports as assigned
  • Coordinates various accounting activities as assigned
  • Responds to various basic to moderately complex inquiries related to assigned duties, the company or department rules, regulations, policies and procedures and solves problems as appropriate to position
  • Conducts routine audits
  • Coordinates and oversees BOLs & customer billings for assigned asphalt terminals.
  • Reviews and facilitates resolution of issues or errors for all sales and purchasing transactions.
  • Perform various customer service activities including, but not limited to, facilitating resolution of accounts receivable or other issues, providing requested documents (BOLs, Invoices, Submittals, etc.), and establishing good rapport to enhance a positive customer experience.
  • Oversees Daily Inventory activities including deliveries, receipts, MIGOS, for assigned asphalt
  • terminals.
  • Manages month end inventory reconciliation for assigned asphalt terminals and is responsible for posting month end gains/losses of inventory.
  • Manages product purchase activities including orders with vendors, all master data DIG ticket entries,
  • verifies vendor pricing matches negotiated prices and inputs all necessary transactions in SAP.
  • Tracks all inbound product purchases including asphalt and various additives for assigned asphalt terminals.

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

 

Experience

None  required, but one year  minimum of job experience preferred.

 

Preferred Experience

Experience in revenue accounting, accounts payable, SAP FI/CO, SAP BI, and Coupa is preferred.

Education Level

A minimum of a Bachelors Degree, in accounting, finance or related field, is required.

 

Required Skills

Basic ability to perform some accounting analysis. Basic knowledge of Microsoft products. Basic experience with accounting and maintenance software. Entry-level understanding of accounting practices and procedures. Basic reading and writing skills. Interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
