Title: PEI Assurance Specialist

Basic Function
Assure pressure equipment integrity, safety, and reliability by assessing Equipment risk and making recommendations for corrective actions to mitigate all high-risk items. The candidate may be assigned as an Area Inspectors and/or RBI Analyst.
Job Duties

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: (functions considered essential as defined by ADA)
- Evaluates NDE and inspection results and records findings in the inspection data management system.
- Performs RBI analysis and/or reassessments of all equipment in assigned areas of responsibility.
- Makes CCD updates under the guidance of the Corrosion and Materials Lead
- Works with the Corrosion and Materials Lead to assess injection points/deadlegs for assessment of risk.
- Reviews all corrosion related inspection schedules within assigned areas to optimize work strategy.
- Approves routine NDE packages prior to distribution to field.
- Sets/approves all RBI inspection schedules for his/her assigned area.
- Sets/approves all Non-RBI inspection schedules for corrosion-based intervals in his/her assigned area.
- Works with the Corrosion and Materials Lead, Area PEI Specialist, and PEI Manager to develop work scope for turnarounds and planned unit outages in accordance with inspection strategies.
- Participates in turnaround risk assessments.
- Assist with Pressure Equipment Integrity Assurance activities as required.
- Understanding corrosion mechanisms for his/her areas of responsibility and applies to inspection strategies and RBI assessments.
- Participating in RBI modeling and CCD revalidations.
- Representing PEI in the Management of Change work process.
- Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their supervisor’s sole and complete discretion.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years’ experience inspection and/or RBI analyst experience in the oil and gas industry.
Education Level
A minimum of a high school degree or equivalent education required.
Must be a certified API 510 pressure vessel inspector as well as API 570 piping inspector.
Preffered Education
A bachelor degree preferably in the science field is preferred.
API 580 Risk Based Inspection Endorsement is preferred.
API 653 certification is preferred.
Required Skills
Must be well versed in the basic principles and application of various NDE methods applied in the oil and gas industry. Must also be able to evaluate inspection and NDE results and extrapolate data required for RBI modeling.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility
May be required to lead small team of NDE technicians and or contract inspectors on an as needed basis.

Salary Range: The salary range includes the minimum, midpoint, and maximum base salary values. A candidate's offer can vary depending on differentiating factors, including but not limited to education, training, or experience.
This position has a salary minimum of $90,400.00 and maximum of $157,400.00.
