Basic Function

HF Sinclair is seeking a Supervisor, Crude Trucking in Artesia, NM, Woods Cross, UT and Powder River, Wyoming.  In this role, you will supervise the crude field operations activities in the assigned locations for the global logistics department.

Job Duties

  • Supervises and coordinates the activities of crude oil operations
  • Ensures all transportation duties are being performed properly and accurately
  • Tracks crude oil movement
  • Recommends and administers policies and procedures governing crude oil operations
  • Ensures compliance with governmental regulatory agencies
  • Works closely with Crude Oil Marketing to coordinate the transportation function for new and existing leases such as routes and cost to transport 
  • Monitors RTChex compliance with producers and carriers
  • Collaborates with the Crude Trading Leasing team to ensure carrier related issues are addressed and resolved. 
  • Monitor spills and ensure reports are completed on a timely basis
  • Monitor Vehicle Incidents /Accidents & Property Damage
  • Ensure investigations and corrective actions are completed in a timely manner.

   Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their manager, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

Experience

A minimum of 9 years’ related work experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role, and a significant amount of trucking industry experience is required.

Education Level

A minimum of a High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and work experience at the management level.

Required Skills

Special training and/or certifications in DOT, OSHA, other safety procedures and various trucking operation procedures is essential. Proven leadership skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication, the ability to perform complex mathematical calculations, and advanced reading and writing skills are required.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

Responsible for overseeing 3rd party contract carriers, contract tank strapping and marking and H2S testing.

Work Conditions

Office and field based with travel required up to 50% of the time by land or air. Work is performed primarily outdoors in all weather conditions. Subject to varying road and weather conditions.
