Title:  Director, Sales

Basic Function

Fully responsible for ensuring Red Giant Oil Company LLC’s P&L results meet annual revenue targets of $44+ million and annual sales volumes ranging from 10-12+ million gallons, while providing mutually agreed to customer service, without compromising EH&S standards of excellence.

Job Duties

  • Leading and directing the activities of the business unit to achieve desired financial results
  • Providing necessary infrastructure and human resources to meet business unit objectives
  • Developing and maintaining a sustainable culture to support EH&S standards of excellence
  • Review and negotiates contracts and pricing with all customers
  • Provides the best forecast of future sales
  • Responsible for new sales development within and beyond the Railroad segment, with focus on inland marine, power generation and traditional lubricant segments
  • Provides oversight and guidance to the Customer Service, Transportation, Operations and EH&S functions
  • Acts as primary liaison with Lubricants & Specialties Marketing and R&D teams

Experience

At least 15 years of management experience with increasing responsibility required.  20+ years of management experience with increasing responsibility and previous experience in the areas of operations, sales, planning and finance preferred.  Experience working directly with or for the railroad industry preferred. 

Education Level

Bachelor’s Degree in Business with emphasis in Sales and Marketing, Global Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, Operations Management or related field required.  Master’s Degree in Business Administration preferred.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

No direct reports, however, will work closely with and provide oversight and guidance to the Customer Service, Transportation, Operations and EH&S functions. 

Work Conditions

Office and petroleum refinery environment based and may require up to 50% travel by land or air.
