Title: Business Operations Lead

Basic Function
HF Sinclair is seeking a Business Operations Lead in Dallas, TX which is a developmental role designed for emerging operational leaders who aspire to influence and drive performance across HF Sinclair’s Operations organization. This role supports the execution of the company's vision, goals, and priorities by partnering closely with senior operational leaders. The role will strengthen leadership capability, develop executive level communication skills, develop strategic insights while gaining exposure to HF Sinclair asset base and top operational leaders. The role will learning to effectively drive enterprise-level operational planning and gain skills in delivering results and managing performance.
Job Duties
Operational Rhythm & Communication
- Facilitate daily Operations Call, synthesizing PowerBI data and operations leadership commentary into timely, executive-ready summaries.
- Develop agendas and facilitate Ops Leadership Business meetings, including weekly FLT staff meetings, monthly business transformation sessions, monthly business performance reviews, and quarterly face-to-face alignment events.
- Develop presentations and executive materials for the EVP, including annual reports, board updates, network presentations, and strategic reviews.
- Integrate and coordinate with the Business Segment Leaders to ensure alignment of operational priorities, performance insights, and strategic initiatives across the portfolio.
Strategic Planning & Business Performance
- Develop and facilitate the Annual Business Planning process for all Operations, consolidating initiatives from EFLT, business unit leadership, and Commercial.
- Visualize operational performance by building dynamic, digestible PowerBI dashboards covering Opex, financials, EHS, reliability, and key indicators.
- Analyze internal and external performance data (including Solomon and market benchmarks) to propose improvements to company goals and operational targets.
- Own and maintain the annual planning calendar coordinating with meeting owners to optimize FLT time and ensure visibility of all business-critical cadences.
Executive & Board Support
- Facilitate development and consolidation of Board slides, including Turnaround (TA) materials and cross-functional board content.
- Prepare analytics and data packages for FLT and ELT consumption, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and strategic relevance.
Special Projects & Program Ownership
- EFLT member supporting initiative development and communication
- Lead assigned special projects such as the Cost Reporting Tool Initiative, Power BI Analytics
- Information Manager for Crisis Management Team responsibilities
- Program lead, Corporate Leadership Development Forum
- Special initiatives and projects as assigned by FLT or EVP.
Experience
A minimum of five (5) years of operational support in procurement, engineering, commercial, or other operational roles is required.
Education Level
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or other related discipline is required.
Preferred Education
An advanced degree (MS, MBA, or equivalent) is preferred.
