Title: Manager, Renewable Feedstock Supply

Basic Function
HF Sinclair is seeking a Manager, Renewable Feedstock Supply, in Dallas, TX. You will manage feedstock supply and strategy for the Cheyenne, Artesia and Parco Renewable diesel units as well as supply, strategy, and sales for the Artesia pretreatment unit. Utilize industry knowledge and skills to perform economic analysis, short-term and strategic planning. Responsible for development of short- and long-term production plans for the Renewables business, including pre-treatment units. Develops procedures and strategies for the discipline. Monitors and develops appropriate professional standards for quality assurance. Internally considered as a technical advisor.
Job Duties
- Manage long-term feedstock strategy, analyze feedstock supply outlook, evaluate and monitor feedstock quality requirements and processing constraints
- Manage feedstock supply for the Cheyenne, Artesia and Parco Renewable Diesel units
- Manage feedstock supply and sales for the Artesia pretreatment unit (PTU)
- Optimize feedstock selection to maximize production and low carbon fuel incentive value
- Manage feedstock logistics planning and scheduling
- Contributes to capital and commercial renewable diesel project economic analysis
- Develop and manage model optimizing feedstock selection and plant operations for the Cheyenne and Artesia renewable diesel unit and Artesia pretreatment unit
- Utilize LP as a modeling tool and calibration methodology
- Develop, implement and monitor benchmarking procedures for commercial activities
- Provide economic evaluation of renewable feedstocks, facility operations, logistics options and actual monthly performance versus plans
- Develop and optimize production plans
- Issue 30/60/90 operating plans for the business units
- Analyze renewable diesel unit yields and margins
- Manage renewable inventories within operating targets and limitations
- Forecast, administer and develop budgeting process
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion
Experience
A minimum of 8 years of related on-the-job experience required. Renewable fuels industry experience preferred.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
SAP experience.
Education Level
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in business or technical related field is required.
Required Skills
Advanced reading and writing skills. Ability to effectively communicate with strong verbal communication skills, negotiation, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills; good interpersonal skills with a customer focus; proficient and demonstrated ability working with spreadsheets, word processing, electronic mail and database applications; advanced ability to identify discrepancies and determine alternative courses of action. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products, Excel and PowerPoint in particular. Intermediate ability to implement new systems and procedures and to evaluate their effectiveness; and effectively interpret plans and procedures. Ability to perform intermediate level mathematical calculations.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility
Direct supervision of employees.
Work Conditions
Office based with travel required up to 10% by land and air with occasional visits into a refinery environment. Subject to varying road and weather conditions.
