Title:  Capital Administration Analyst

Basic Function

HF Sinclair Corporation Headquarter in Dallas, TX  is seeking a Capital Administration Analyst that will conduct complex analysis for both accounting and business partners with minimal supervision. Ensures the accurate and timely delivery of capital reporting information to the Accounting and Business leadership teams.

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the monthly construction and consolidation of capital reporting, including analysis of Actual, Budget, and Forecasted results
  • Works closely with manufacturing, corporate engineering, and other corporate functions to ensure understanding of capital reporting requirements and assist them in meeting reporting deliverables
  • Preparesof presentation materials for Board and Capital Committee meetings sand provides analysis and presentation support to the annual budgeting process
  • Maintains the company’s Capital Policy and serves as a primary contact in the company for questions about the application of the policy
  • Designs and implements reports and reporting processes to enhance the efficiency of capital reporting
  • Participates in the review of the AFE’s submitted for Capital and Expense projects within the company
  • Provides expertise and leadership in the application and interpretation of the company’s Capital policy
  • Works closely with the HFC corporate environmental team, ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of additions to the HFC Environmental reserve. Monthly and quarterly reporting as well as assistance in annual budgeting process are required

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their superior, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

Experience

A minimum of five years of job-related accounting, reporting and analytical work experience is required.

Education Level

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance is required.

PREFERRED EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:

CPA, CMA or MBA designation is preferred.

Required Skills

Must understand GAAP and have experience in financial, cost or manufacturing accounting. Experience working with capital projects or doing high-level corporate reporting is desired. Continuous improvement experience. Working knowledge of SAP or other major ERP and Microsoft products. Ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication. Must be able to manage projects and assignments with extreme accuracy and efficiency.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in with management level reporting, building reporting models is desired, and a working knowledge of SAP FI/CO, BI, and SAP BPC is preferred.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

Work Conditions

Office based with up to 5% travel by land and air. May be required to work flexible hours.
