Title: Tagetik Enterprise Performance Management Architect

Basic Function
HF Sinclair is seeking a Tagetik Enterprise Performance Management Architect based in Dallas, TX. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day operations of the Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) function within the Finance Center of Excellence (COE), ensuring optimal performance of Tagetik and related financial systems. Bridges strategic direction from senior leadership and tactical execution by analysts, driving process improvements, system enhancements, and compliance across planning, consolidation, and reporting.
Job Duties
- Partners with Sr. Manager and EPM Analyst on COE initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Provides technical oversight for Tagetik data models and own integration strategies, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and reporting requirements.
- Defines and maintains mission-critical master data, hierarchies, role-based access and segregation of duties; ensure alignment to SOX and ITGC expectations.
- Defines and manages Tagetik data load schedules; promptly resolve integration issues with ERP and source systems.
- Oversees quality assurance, unit, and integration testing for Tagetik enhancements, upgrades, and data integrations.
- Coordinates with IT security to ensure proper user roles and access controls within Tagetik.
- Supports design and maintenance of Tagetik planning structures, packages, and workflows.
- Leads medium-scale projects (e.g., module upgrades, workflow redesign) and support Sr. Manager on large-scale initiatives.
- Prepares and communicates periodic status updates on Tagetik initiatives, team performance, and issue resolution.
- Acts as primary liaison between Finance COE, IT, and business units to gather requirements, resolve issues, and ensure alignment on deliverables.
- Leads workshops, presentations, and training sessions for finance teams and stakeholders to promote best practices and adoption of Tagetik functionality.
- Builds consolidation logic (allocations, eliminations), cash flow automation roadmap and selected business workflows (submission/approval).
- Leads design of complex reports and standard packs (MBR, KOS, Capex reporting, and other packs) ensuring optimal performance and reuse.
- Maintains audit-ready documentation and enforce change management protocols.
- Ensures all Tagetik configurations and enhancements comply with corporate IT governance and security standards.
- Drives operational excellence and innovation within EPM, ensuring alignment with corporate financial objectives. Enhances system performance and process efficiency.
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time, are at the supervisor’s sole and complete discretion.
Experience
A minimum of 7 years of EPM experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities. Proven track record in managing financial systems and leading process improvement initiatives.
Preferred Experience
Hands-on expertise with Tagetik and ERP integration, SAP ECC and/or S4/HANA.
Education Level
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or IT.
Preferred Educational Level
Advanced degree or certifications (FP&A, CPA, CMA, CFA).
Required Skills
- Deep understanding of financial processes and EPM systems.
- Proven experience with governance, controls, audit evidence and EPM management.
- Strong stakeholder leadership across FP&A, Consolidations, Reporting and IT.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and data governance.
- Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and reporting tools is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Midstream or Downstream oil & gas industry experience in.
- Prior experience in a Finance COE or service excellence environment.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility
Acts as team leader on large projects.
Work Conditions
Office based with up to 25% travel by land or air is required. Subject to all weather and varying road conditions. Occasional long hours, as well as nights and weekends as needed.
