Basic Function
Job Duties
- Performs various daily cash management responsibilities for the HF Sinclair Companies (daily cash positioning, short-term borrowing and investments, collections and disbursements, wire transfers, tax payments, etc.).
- Performs daily bank account validations for all new vendors and bank account changes.
- Reviews, independently validates, and approves ERP vendor master data for banking.
- Utilizes technology tools and identifies opportunities to streamline the banking information validation process.
- Tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) related to banking information validation and fraud prevention.
- Monitors and clears daily payment exceptions in treasury management system (Kyriba).
- Stays informed on the latest fraud prevention techniques and industry best practices.
- Contributes to the company’s fraud prevention task force, providing insights and recommendations for the development and implementation of fraud prevention policies and procedures.
- Analyzes and utilizes treasury management system (Kyriba), along with multiple data sources, to maintain and improve short term and long-term cash forecasting model to ensure adequate liquidity, efficient investment of funds, and cost-effective short-term borrowings.
- Under direction from supervisor, prepares multi-currency cash and liquidity metrics for broader distribution.
- Works as the main point of contact for researching bank transaction requests from various departments and assists the accounting department with monthly bank reconciliations.
- Prepares and analyzes monthly bank fee analysis reports along with other bank account management reports within Kyriba Bank Account Management module to properly manage costs.
- Ensures compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls and other rules governing cash transactions and banking.
- Participates in identified process improvement opportunities and financial analysis projects within the broader finance organization.

Required Skills
Ability to perform complex financial analysis. Strong understanding of finance concepts and procedures. Proficient with spreadsheet, database and word processing applications; good written and verbal communication, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills; knowledge of banking and investment industries as needed; detail oriented; ability to work independently; good understanding of financial risk and mitigation. Ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal. Intermediate reading and writing skills; and ability to perform advanced level mathematical calculations.
