Title: Manager Turnaround

Basic Function
HF Sinclair Corporation is seeking a Turnaround Event Manager to be based in El Dorado, KS. This role is responsible for overseeing and directing all Turnaround activities for high complexity turnaround events. As a Refinery Leadership Team (RLT) member, this role will work in collaboration with key stakeholders including Operations, Capital Projects, Inspection, Health and Safety, Environmental, Maintenance, and Process Engineering to plan and accomplish all Turnaround Activities.
Job Duties
- Supports the Global Turnaround initiative in the identification and implementation of industry leading practices across HF Sinclair.
- Responsible for keeping the site Long Range Plan updated & aligned with business objectives & strategic plans
- Manages and responsible for overall event coordination, preparation activities associated with shutdown, startup and decommissioning & work execution, consistent with turnaround milestone schedule and objectives
- Updates the turnaround plan as necessary during the execution of the turnaround.
- Leads the Strategy Team and drives accountability and compliance to our milestones process.
- In conjunction with the Production Team, develop a detailed oil-flow plan that integrates with execution schedule.
- Facilitates Capital project integration into turnaround event planning and execution.
- Works with our ready for maintenance (Ops) for ownership and delivery of shutdown and start-up plans, processes & procedures.
- Ensures turnaround readiness, cost and execution status is communicated in real time to management and other key stakeholders.
- Oversees the development of plans to deliver quality of work, safety execution, environmental soundness, and overall performance of the entire workforce in the turnaround organization.
- Develops and maintains HF Sinclair turnaround management standards and processes.
- Provides both technical and leadership support for Catalyst Changes, Maintenance Outages & low complexity Turnaround events with LPO executed by the TA team.
- Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their manager, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion
Experience
Proven industry experience in managing large industrial events or projects (+$100MM) including leadership of these execution teams.
Education Level
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience, is required.
Required Skills
Ability to lead and direct a large work force for the execution of a high complexity projects or maintenance events. Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills and ability to build technical and operational capability. Good spreadsheet, database and word processing applications knowledge. Strong written and verbal communication, negotiating, time-management and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with others and influence multiple operations. Advanced reading and writing skills and the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Ability to work in a matrixed organizational structure.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility
Responsible for the supervision of approximately of up to 10 direct reports.
Work Conditions
Office based with refinery environment exposure and travel up to 10% of the time by land or air. 100% of time will be required to work in petroleum refinery environment. Subject to all weather and varying road conditions.
