Basic Function
HF Sinclair in Eldorado, KS is seeking a Supervisor of Procurement to play a pivotal role in advancing HF Sinclair's procurement mission. You will lead a Team of strategic sourcing specialists, buyers, and warehouse employees.
Job Duties
Team Leadership
- Leads a site-based strategic sourcing and procurement team, ensuring alignment with business needs and advancing HF Sinclair's procurement mission and strategy. Provides mentorship and functional leadership to strategic sourcing specialists, buyers, and warehousing employees.
Sourcing and Supplier Management
- Leads location-based tactical and strategic sourcing activities, including RFQ/RFI/RFP processes. Identifies and selects based on criteria such as strategy, pricing, availability, and quality. Ensures alignment with overarching category management strategies.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Develops and leads the Supplier Relationship Management program for the assigned plant(s). Monitors supplier performance using KPIs, scorecards, or dashboards.
Change Leadership and Stakeholder Integration
Acts as a change agent, guiding the site procurement team toward effective integration with business stakeholders. Drives enhanced strategic procurement support, strengthening collaboration, and delivering a commercial edge to the business.
Talent Development
Oversees recruitment, training and performance evaluation of procurement staff. Develops employees' skills in areas such as sourcing strategies, negotiations, contract management, supplier relationship management, cost savings, and financial analysis.

Experience
A minimum of five years in procurement or supply chain roles, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
Education Level
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a business-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience, is required.

Strong data-driven decision-making skills to translate procurement impact into P&L performance. Advanced verbal and written communication skills to influence stakeholders and drive collaboration.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility
Responsible for the supervision of one exempt level employee and two nonexempt level union employees at assigned facilities
Work Conditions
Office based with up to 10% travel by land and air required. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment, including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, and rotating equipment. Subject to all temperatures, weather and varying road conditions.
