Basic Function

Petro-Canada Lubricants Inc. (PCLI), an HF Sinclair company is seeking a full-time Analyst Cash Accounting. Reporting to the Accounts Payable & Cash Applications Supervisor, the Analyst Cash Accounting is responsible for the daily records of customer payments in appropriate accounts, identifies and resolves cash in discrepancies and answers customer inquiries as needed.

Job Duties

  • Handles all USD and CAD wire payments and cheque deposits, as well as posting and applying accurately and in a timely manner
  • Interacts with staff from Treasury, Credit and various banks
  • Participates in special projects and has continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintains all the PCLI operational GL accounts and make sure the total of all the Accounts Receivable postings are equal to bank download totals
  • Provides all the supporting documents for internal and external Auditors
  • Handle all the ACH Recalls, Rejects, Returns daily for PCLI CAD USD bank accounts
  • Manage customer billing activities across multiple customer portals, ensuring accurate and timely invoice submission in accordance with customer requirements
  • Monitor customer portals for invoice status, identify and resolve billing discrepancies, and collaborate with internal teams and customers to support timely payment and reduce outstanding receivables

 

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion

Experience

  • Basic accounting knowledge and MS office skills is required
  • 2-3 years of cash application experience is preferred
  • SAP experience is a strong asset 

Education Level

  • College Diploma in a related field
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is preferred

Required Skills

  • Microsoft office skills
  • Good communication skills  
  • Basic accounting software skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to manage time and priorities in a fast paced environment 
  • Experience using SAP is a preferred skill

Work Conditions

  • This roleis based out of the Lubricants Lakeshore office at 2310 Lakeshore Road WEst, Mississauga
  • This role is an on-site role Monday through thursday, with a work from home option on Fridays

  • The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
