Basic Function

Petro-Canada Lubricants Inc. (PCLI), an HF Sinclair company, located in Mississauga, ON is seeking a full-time Inventory Materials Specialist. The Inventory Materials Specialist assists the supervisor in leading and controlling activities of the company warehouse, tool room and personnel and is responsible for delivering inventory compliance reports, managing and auditing inventory activities, maintaining materials master data, optimizing inventory levels, issuing purchase orders, interacting with suppliers, asset recovery, and expediting orders as required.

Job Duties

  • Manage the Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) process and make appropriate changes as required
  • Perform detailed inventory analysis to ensure inventory levels are ideal by understanding stocking criteria, forecasting requirements, and criticality profiles within a maintenance environment
  • Work with all relevant inventory stakeholders to establish both short and long term inventory strategies
  • Manage the reverse logistic process for all unused material returned after the completion of planned work, and coordinate/perform effective disposition for identified obsolete materials
  • Perform a gatekeeper role for material master data within SAP, dealpoint and verdantis or other systems as required
  • Coordination and support of daily inventory cycle counting activities and participate in auditing of inventory counts
  • Expedite materials and overdue purchases as require
  • Take precautions to protect warehouse contents, equipment, building and tools against loss
  • Retain and review warehouse documents and reports
  • Support programs, policies, and procedures within Materials Management department
  • Review receipt and Purchase Order documents to facilitate invoice payment
  • Coverall locker assignments and entry of requisitions to facilitate the purchasing of Coveralls, jackets, shirts and pants
  • Manage the Fastenal Vending machine program, distributing weekly usage reports, reviewing invoices for discrepancy prior to submittal to AP for processing
  • Responsible for completing monthly KPI’s reports at first business day of every month
  • Support Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, as directed

 

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

Experience

  • A minimum of five years of job related experience in a similar environment is required

Education Level

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience, is required

Work Conditions

  • Office, Warehouse and yards-based with periodic night, weekend, and holiday call out

Physical Requirements

Job conditions may require occasional lifting and moving of up to 50 lbs., sitting and bending.  Ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates is essential – inability to maintain standard insurance rates is grounds for dismissal.  Valid State driver’s license and proof of insurance required.
