Title: Sustainability Coordinator

Basic Function
Support the L&S Sustainability Strategy through ESG data coordination, analysis, and system maintenance. Reports to the Director of Sustainability and will support ESG data management system, process, and programs. The ideal candidate will have a background in sustainability, excellent data management skills, and a passion for driving positive change.
Job Duties
Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) Data Management
- Supports and maintains a central database (i.e., ESG data warehouse) to collect and maintain ESG-related metrics to support current state reporting requirements.
- Maintains L&S ESG data management systems to support mandatory ESG reporting requirements (i.e., CSRD), voluntary ESG disclosures (i.e., EcoVadis, CDP), customer surveys, and maintenance of site-level Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) models including Scope 3 Supplier PCFs.
- Supports the assessment of ESG data management technology solutions to support ESG compliance requirements.
Product Life Cycle Analysis
- May collaborate with external consultants and internal stakeholders to gather and analyze sustainability data and metrics for the purpose of product Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) modeling.
ESG Program Management
- Supports the L&S Supplier Engagement Program of L&S Scope 3 GHG emissions to identify year-over-year reduction opportunities through data-driven insights.
- Assists by leveraging data analysis to identify site-level Sustainability programs to improve site-level Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions.
- Tracks, analyzes, and reports on sustainability performance metrics.
Integration & Optimization
- Supports the integration of sustainability practices into operations, processes, and product development.
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.
Experience
A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in the lubricants or energy industries with exposure to operations, systems management, environmental and data management systems, or related roles.
Education Level
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Required Skills
- Excellent data analytical skills and research skills with the ability to interpret and translate complex data into key insights.
- Understanding of ESG disclosure frameworks, GHG reporting standards, and reporting guidelines.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with different departments and develop and maintain positive rapport with different stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and project management skills
- Ability to multi-task, organize and plan effectively, and work with multiple deadlines.
- Strong research skills, curious mindset, and resourcefulness is essential.
- Confident and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Forward-thinking mindset with a demonstrated ability to be innovative and “think outside the box”.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (with an emphasis on Excel), managing databases, and data analysis.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility
Work Conditions
Office based with minimal travel 25% required by land or air. Subject to varying road and weather conditions.
Physical Requirements
Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movement, reaching or grasping, lifting or carrying up to 20lbs, pushing or pulling up to 10lbs, required, perceiving color differences, and ability to wear personal protective equipment.
