Title: Temporary Full-time Inventory Analyst

Basic Function
Petro-Canada Lubricants Inc. (PCLI), an HF Sinclair company, located in Mississsauga, Ontario is seeking a temporary full-time Inventory Analyst for a 14 month contract. Reporting to the Manager, Production Planning and Inventory Controls this position is responsible for maintaining inventory continuity of finished products, additive and packaging components in SAP for Lubeplex critical to keep operations running and to controllers for financial reporting accuracy. Key deliverables are the reconciliation of inventories, expiry date audits for additives, inventory accuracy in SAP, KPM reporting, and the analysis / reporting of trends. This position is also responsible for leading the development and execution of improvement initiatives to achieve and sustain flawless loss control practices.
Job Duties
- Ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded on a timely basis in compliance with company policies
- Complete inventory reconciliations at Lubeplex and/or third party manufacturing sites on a monthly schedule and when required co-ordinate and lead the investigation and correction of inventory imbalances with appropriate internal and external stakeholders
- Lead the investigation to reduce losses at Lubeplex by working with operations personnel, supply chain, suppliers and management
- Responsible for inventory accuracy and effective inventory management practices for 3rd party service provider locations
- Coordinate and complete additive expiry date audits for Lubeplex and at sub-contractor locations
- Implement continuous improvements from investigations of inventory inaccuracies
- Participate in process improvement opportunities by working independently and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
- Presentations on Lubeplex inventory adjustments to upper management on a quarterly basis
- Back up the other Inventory Analyst for vacation coverage and support of other investigations
- Perform good receipts for railcar additives and skus that go to Sylvite warehouse
- Assists in internal and external audits
- Support ad hoc project(s) as required
- Coordinate material changes related to master data (density, unit of measurement) is properly set up in SAP
- Monitor activities for obsolete material for consumption or disposal by operations or at vendor locations
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion
Experience
- Advanced computer skills including Excel, SAP, Power Point, Word
- Knowledge of manufacturing SAP processes is a strong asset
- Good understanding of business goals and objectives
- Experience in detailed analysis and investigation into inventory reconciliation problems, recommend action and/or lead change
- Experience leading improvement initiatives
- Excellent presentation skills

- Post-secondary education

Work Conditions
- Position is primarily within an office environment but does involve frequent interaction with other manufacturing departments within the Lubeplex and Accounting areas.
- Extensive amounts of time working on a computer is a requirement.
- Daily calls for assistance from other departments can result in time management challenges and related stress in managing multiple priorities and timelines.
- Occasionally strong odours emitted from the (working) environment can cause headaches
- This is a temporary full-time contract for approximately 14 months in length
