Title: E&I Technician

Basic Function
HF Sinclair in Sinclair, WY is seeking an E&I Tecnician who is responsible for the installation, preventive maintenance, repair, modification, and troubleshooting of Refinery process control, instrumentation and electrical systems.
Job Duties
(functions considered essential as defined by ADA)
- Install, remove, calibrate and repair Refinery electrical equipment and components
- Disconnect and connect electrical power to Refinery equipment
- Test and maintain electrical safety systems and instrument safety systems
- Troubleshoot and maintain electrical circuits and process control valves
- Installation, removal, calibration and repair of Refinery electronic digital and analog and pneumatic process control instruments
- Comply with all facility safety procedures and safety training requirements including, but not limited to, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, National Electric Code or other regulatory agencies
- Prepare and maintain appropriate equipment and repair documentation as required
- Test, program, and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers
- Proficient in computer usage basics including, Microsoft Office Suite and computer maintenance management systems (i.e. Maximo)
- Follow-through on commitments made to others
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.
Experience
Preference given to candidates who have experience with electrical or instrumentation in an oil refinery, chemical process plant, electric utility or electrical distribution equipment and/or have completed an industrial electrician apprenticeship, certification, or associate degree program.
Education Level
A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
Work Conditions
Outdoors environment based. Petroleum refinery, plant environment, including not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, and tanks, rotating equipment, and working in confined spaces. Able to work in adverse weather conditions. Required to work a flexible schedule, (e.g. 12 shift schedules, overtime, weekends, callouts or holidays).

Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs., pushing and/or pulling up to 50 lbs., climbing up to 100 ft., ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates is essential, valid State driver’s license and proof of insurance required, perceiving color differences, wearing personal protective equipment (beards not permitted), and strenuous physical activity.
