Basic Function

HF Sinclair Paro Refining LLC in SInclair, WY is seeking a Golf Course Manager to Oversee the operations and maintenance of the golf course

Job Duties

(functions considered essential as defined by ADA)

  • Overseeing the maintenance and landscaping of the golf course and its facilities
  • Coordinating with groundskeepers to ensure the course is clean and well-maintained
  • Developing, implementing, and overseeing operational budgets
  • Implementing strategies to attract and retain members and guests
  • Coordinating golf tournaments and other special events
  • Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations
  • Providing excellent customer service to members and guests
  • Managing staff, including hiring, training, scheduling and performance management
  • Overseeing the pro shop operations and golf equipment rentals
  • Communicating effectively with members and guests to address any concerns or complaints

 

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

Experience

A minimum of three years of experience preferred.

Education Level

High School Diploma or equivalent

 

PREFERRED EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:

A bachelor’s in business administration, hospitality management, or a related field.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of golf course maintenance and operations, which includes understanding of agronomy, turf grass science and the rules of golf. Excellent leadership and management skills to supervise and motivate a team of groundskeepers, pro shop staff, starters, marshals and other golf course employees. Ability to plan and coordinate golf tournaments and other special events, requiring solid organizational and event management skills. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to interact positively with golfers, members, guests and employees, fostering a hospitable and professional environment. Financial acumen to manage budgets, control inventory, negotiate contracts, and drive revenue for the golf course. Strong problem-solving skills to promptly resolve any issues or concerns related to course maintenance or customer service. Good physical health and stamina to spend much of the day outdoors, in various weather conditions, and to inspect the course and its facilities. Proficiency in relevant software applications for scheduling, inventory control, and financial reporting.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

Supervisor a crew of 5 to 7 people.

Work Conditions

Out-of-doors environment, driver-based environment including but not limited to dust, dirt, rotating equipment, and exposure to extreme hot and cold. Subject to all temperatures, weather and varying road conditions.

Physical Requirements

Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 50lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 30lbs, climbing up to 200ft, ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates, perceiving color differences, ability to wear personal protective equipment (beards not permitted), and strenuous physical activity.
