Basic Function

HF SInclair Parco Refining LLC in SInclair, WY is seeking a Maintenance Training Supervisor responsible for the effective development, coordination and presentation of training and development programs for all Maintenance Department employees. Assess plant-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives.

Job Duties

(functions considered essential as defined by ADA)

  • Supervise Maintenance Trainers in their performance and provide feedback as appropriate
  • Implement and operate in-house training programs
  • Design programs, tests, and/or visual aids to help meet training requirements
  • Coordinate with outside companies to provide training needs when appropriate
  • Administer programs to train employees in developing/maintaining maintenance skills
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators to monitor departmental performance
  • Monitor class arrangements and conduct training classes as needed
  • Assure maintenance department employees have met and are current for all company and regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of Learning Management System (LMS) and its functions.
  • Oversee the annual review/update of Maintenance Procedures.
  • Coordinate documentation of employee training and develop program to identify and address gaps
  • Follow-through on commitments made to others

 

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

Experience

Four years of maintenance experience in the oil and gas industry with preference given to those candidates with previous oil refinery experience. Four years of industrial training related experience.

Education Level

High School Diploma or GED

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Credited Education certificate or degree.

Required Skills

Competent computer skills. Microsoft office: Excel, Word and Power Point. Knowledge of Maintenance with Refinery based skills sets. Procedure writing.

 

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Certification in Forklift, Elevated Work Platforms, Heavy Equipment. Swing and fixed cab Crane.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

Supervise Maintenance Trainers in their performance and provide feedback as appropriate. 2 employees per Org chart.

Work Conditions

Refinery based with up to 5% travel by land and air required. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment, out-of-doors, and driver environment based, including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, and working in confined spaces. Subject to all temperatures, varying weather and road conditions.

Physical Requirements

Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 50lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 30lbs, climbing up to 200ft, ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates, perceiving color differences, ability to wear personal protective equipment (beards not permitted), and strenuous physical activity.
