Basic Function

Assists Supervisor in leading and controlling activities of the company warehouse, tool room and personnel. Responsible for management of remote warehouse facility. Ensure shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution are performed in an efficient manner.

Job Duties

  • Oversees and manages all warehouse activities within assigned areas
  • Coordinates inventory of materials and parts to maintain required supply
  • Sets up new parts numbers, stock records, bin locations, order quantities and parts association
  • Evaluates inventory levels and auto re-order system
  • Expedites materials and overdue purchases
  • Performs procurement function for warehouse inventory and low value expensed parts as assigned
  • Takes precautions to protect warehouse contents, equipment, building and tools against loss
  • Retains and reviews warehouse documents and reports
  • Supports programs, policies, and procedures within Materials Management Department
  • Facilitates annual, spot, bin, cycle and auditor inventory counts
  • Tracks and reports warehouseman regular, call-out and overtime hours
  • Runs overdue tool list and notifies supervisors
  • Coordinates storage for Engineering, Maintenance, Turn-around and capital materials
  • Maintains data log for H2S monitor program
  • Reviews receipt and Purchase Order documents to facilitate invoice payment

 

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their superior, as determined from time to time at their sole and complete discretion.

Experience

A minimum of five years of job related experience in a similar environment is required.

Education Level

A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience, is required.

Required Skills

Knowledge of material handling equipment, transportation management, computerized inventory control and distribution/warehouse operations. Intermediate leadership, interpersonal, organization and written/oral communication skills. Ability to handle special projects. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

 

Preferred Skills:

SAP, Coupa

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

Responsible for assisting work leadership to employees.

Work Conditions

Office, Warehouse and yards-based with periodic night, weekend, and holiday call out.
